Dr. Xiaohan Yang, specially appointed professor at the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, selected for the "Discipline Elite Talent" program at Yangtze University, EIT in Canada. Dr. Yang participated as a core member in multiple high-level research projects funded by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Environment and Climate Change Canada, and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO). A recipient of the Chinese government award for outstanding self-financed students abroad and the Merit Scholarship Program for Foreign Students (PBEEE) from Quebec, Canada. Her research interests include the environmental behavior, transport, and pollution control of emerging pollutants, environmental fate and remediation of oil spills, and environmental impact assessment. Dr. Yang has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers in the top journals, such as Environmental Science & Technology, Water Research, and Journal of Hazardous Materials. Dr. Yang serves as a reviewer for many journals, including Journal of Hazardous Materials, Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Journal of Environmental Management.
