Profile

I mainly work on water-gas-rock interactions, organic-inorganic interactions, microbe-rock interactions in siliciclastic rocks (sandstone-shale sequence). I mainly use petrography, aqueous, inorganic and organic geochemistry, numerical modelling (reactive transport modelling) and physical modelling to discuss the roles of physical, chemical, thermal, and microbial influences on water-rock interactions and diagenetic alterations in subsurface rocks. These techniques can be applied to sandstone-shale diagenesis, reservoir quality evaluation and prediction, formation water evolution, CO₂ storage and H₂ storage.
